Sun tanning? Not moi! Who wants to run the risk of sun-spots,
wrinkles, and cancer when they get older?
Answering our call for fresh faces without the ultra damaging
sun-kissed look, fashion has stepped up to the plate and offered a wide array
of protection during these hot summer months.
So, stay safe and be trendy with these top items:
Floppy Hats
Bringin’ back the wide brims! One of the hottest items of
the summer serves a double purpose as it protects your face from the sun’s
harsh rays and makes you look fab!
Big Sunglasses
Wrinkles around your eyes are a major indicator of age, so
be pro-active and protect not just your eyes but the skin around them with
these fashionista rims.
Cover-ups – Tunics! Cardigans!
My favorite summer piece is a light cotton cardigan. The
cotton is super breathable so I stay cool while it protects my back and arms.
It also provides a little warmth when restaurants and stores overcompensate on
the AC (you know what I’m talking about)!
Tunics are number one in resort wear. The tunic scene has
exploded in terms of color and cut so it’s impossible to not find a great tunic
that looks flattering and will fit into any wardrobe.
Remember the kids! Kids are getting into the style scene
young and with the plethora of choices now it’s easy to find great kids
swimsuits. Many of these swimsuits are
made with fabric that offers UV protection. Nice!

SPF Sunscreen
Of course, this is the biggest defense against over-sunning.
The market is huge with creams, sprays, sport-based, sweat-resistant, SPF15 through
SPF 90, and everything in-between sunscreens. Pick the one that is right for
you but if you are concerned about a good face sunblock let me recommend these.
Nuskin Ageloc Radiant Day SPF 22
This has anti-aging technology as well as sun protection in
it, which means you can target fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging
while still giving your skin great protection from the sun.
Sunright BodyBlock SPF 30
Don’t let the name fool you. It has a nice moisturizer in it
which makes it great for the face and body.
Last Saturday morning I went to the Farmer's Market before work and this is what I wore. As you can see, I practice what I preach and I look fabulous while doing it! :)
