NuSkin 180 Anti-Aging Skin Therapy System

NuSkin 180 Anti-Aging Skin Therapy System

Called the 180 system because it is your turning point for younger looking skin! This line is the most popular with the staff here at Izalia. We all use at least one product from this line, if not the whole system.

A favorite because it’s gentle yet powerful! It specializes in cell renewal (great for healing skin abrasions caused by acne or by a person picking at their face!) and features a hydroxy acid which promotes collagen regrowth. It targets the signs of aging by diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, minimizing pores, reducing discoloration all while giving your skin a firmer more youthful glow.

Let’s meet these wonderful products!

180 Face Wash: Featuring 10% active Vitamin C, this rich, creamy formula targets age spots and discoloration.

180 Skin Mist: Featuring di- and tri-peptides from hyrolyzed rich protein, this formula protects against future wrinkling and loss of firmness. Mushroom extract refines and tightens pores as exclusive, soothing HMW complex calms and protects skin.

“I’m obsessed with the Skin Mist. I have large pores and the Skin Mist helps tighten my target areas. Not to mention, it’s nice and cool on my face which is lovely during these heat waves!” - Teal

180 Cell Renewal Fluid: Featuring a powerful 15% concentration of the polyhydroxy acid (PHA) gluconolactone, this formula gently but effectively helps to accelerate cell renewal to reveal more youthful looking skin.

“I’ve been using this for over 5 years to treat dark spots and temporary scars from break-outs. It is by far the most effective product to even my skin tone, treat those tough spots, and prevent break-outs. The entire 180 line is wonderful, but if you can only afford one item, this is definitely it. I call it magical!” - Laurissa

180 UV Block Hydrator SPF 18: Formulated with light-activated photosomes, this technologically advanced sunscreen diminishes signs of past sun damage while defending skin against future harm from UCA and UVB rays.

180 Night Complex: This rich nighttime moisturizer promotes DNA repair, protects against free radical damage, and strengthens the skin’s protective barrier.

For best results, use the whole system every day. It doesn’t take a lot of the product so no need to use in excess. Consistency is the key to great results.

“I saw a noticeable difference the first time I used it and so did my husband. I used it all the time at first because it was like positive reinforcement. Unfortunately, I slipped back into bad habits and stopped using the system, because life is busy! Just by forgetting a few times my face broke out. I went back on the full system immediately and my face cleared up within days. It’s wonderful!” - Julie

Greetings from New York!

New York, New York!
The city of bright lights, endless days, good food, and no razor burn.

At least for me anyway!

When packing for my weeklong trip to New York I didn’t even bother with the razor. It was a hair free (and razor free) vacation, and I have the pictures to prove it.

In front of the Stock Exchange. Yep, those are hair-free underarms, no razor needed.

Eating Italian cheesecake in Greenwich Village, notice how smooth my arms are? No razor was needed for that!

Look at those legs! Hair free and ready to play in the water on the new High Line (a community walkway repurposed from old train tracks).

Since getting laser hair removal at Izalia my body hair maintenance is at an all time low. While I’m not finished with my treatments yet, I can now go weeks without ever touching a razor to my skin. I probably don’t need to tell you how fabulous that is!

So, when you’re on your own vacation, whether it’s hanging out at Central Park,

or going somewhere a little more exotic….
After 4-days of hiking to MachuPichu in Peru - yes, that's me with brown hair

Leave the razor behind!

But bring a good companion, they make everything better!

Love,
Teal

Be fashion-forward! Don’t tan!

Be fashion-forward! Don’t tan!

-by Teal

Sun tanning? Not moi! Who wants to run the risk of sun-spots, wrinkles, and cancer when they get older?
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4gHTuw-cgwRHeJaIa6axyuTrKbcbHPR4D206tIk6yYHWbbmqZUShpKjZw6mQl-OvxB_ehyphenhyphencUcbIJTFaGGfZBwZWYaFn7MjJl58MDqT5sC1Aft8zAEKwp2tmAeR5M-w0uFp0H8qa137xU/s400/sunburn10.jpg

Answering our call for fresh faces without the ultra damaging sun-kissed look, fashion has stepped up to the plate and offered a wide array of protection during these hot summer months.

So, stay safe and be trendy with these top items:

Floppy Hats

Bringin’ back the wide brims! One of the hottest items of the summer serves a double purpose as it protects your face from the sun’s harsh rays and makes you look fab!

Big Sunglasses

Wrinkles around your eyes are a major indicator of age, so be pro-active and protect not just your eyes but the skin around them with these fashionista rims.

CardiganCover-ups – Tunics! Cardigans!

My favorite summer piece is a light cotton cardigan. The cotton is super breathable so I stay cool while it protects my back and arms. It also provides a little warmth when restaurants and stores overcompensate on the AC (you know what I’m talking about)!

Tunics are number one in resort wear. The tunic scene has exploded in terms of color and cut so it’s impossible to not find a great tunic that looks flattering and will fit into any wardrobe.

Remember the kids! Kids are getting into the style scene young and with the plethora of choices now it’s easy to find great kids swimsuits.  Many of these swimsuits are made with fabric that offers UV protection. Nice!

Check out this adorable baby. She is a client's baby girl who always makes sure she wears a fashionable hat to keep her safe in the sun.

SPF Sunscreen

Of course, this is the biggest defense against over-sunning. The market is huge with creams, sprays, sport-based, sweat-resistant, SPF15 through SPF 90, and everything in-between sunscreens. Pick the one that is right for you but if you are concerned about a good face sunblock let me recommend these.

This has anti-aging technology as well as sun protection in it, which means you can target fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging while still giving your skin great protection from the sun.

Don’t let the name fool you. It has a nice moisturizer in it which makes it great for the face and body.

Last Saturday morning I went to the Farmer's Market before work and this is what I wore. As you can see, I practice what I preach and I look fabulous while doing it! :)

Have a great summer & stay cool!

Before Izalia - There was construction....

Ever wondered what Izalia looked like BEFORE it was Izalia? For the first time we are revealing how the spa became so fabulous!

The Reception Desk

Our reception bar desktop is famous and it's the first thing you see when you walk in!

Annette made it out of a door she picked from Back Doors Warehouse. She chose the door on the right, which came from an old DC row house.

Here is the base being made!

The amazing end product!

This desk is truly one of a kind!

The Perfect Skin Trilogy

We know, we know, you want soft and smooth skin but don’t want a 10 step beauty regimen for your body
or to pay a fortune.

Meet the perfect skin trilogy.
Who says soft skin has to be difficult?

These three products are the best baseline for great, and Laser Hair Removal ready, skin.

Skin's New Hope!

Exfoliating Boar Bristle Brush

Use this every day with the Anti-Bacterial wash. The Boar Brush will scrub off old skin cells. On the body this prevents ingrown hairs (!!!) on areas where we shave between laser treatments. Brushing also helps to ease out dead hairs from your skin, after laser treatments so you can get to your hair-free "honeymoon phase" faster! - $9

Directions: Get the brush very wet, squirt a small amount of Anti-Bacterial wash on the brush, lather, and use in circular motions. Rinse brush thoroughly. Hang to dry.

Note: Great on the body and face! In future posts we will recommend more specific skin care regimens for the face but go ahead and start brush exfoliating your face today! Doing so creates an inhospitable environment for acne-causing bacteria!

 Anti-Bacterial Strikes Back!

NuSkin Antibacterial Body Cleansing Gel
(aka ABC Gel)

The anti-bacterial wash makes sure your skin is clean without leaving any soapy residue to infect your pores. The Aloe Vera naturally moisturizes and leaves your skin squeaky clean and sooo soft. Great for blemish-prone and oily faces too! - $12

Return of the Moisture!

 NuSkin Body Smoother

This amazing body moisturizer is different than anything you have ever experienced. The cutting-edge humectants inside this bottle draw natural moisture from the air around you into your skin keeping you totally soft without even a hint of feeling "sticky".
Warning: You will never be satisfied with another lotion again once you have experienced Body Smoother. Aloe Vera, algae extract and vitamins A and E add additional nourishment with no extra work on your part. - $16

There you have it! The perfect skin trilogy!

Why I Started Izalia - by Annette

Why I Started Izalia
My Mom & Dad (I'm in the middle)

From both sides of my family, I am the offspring of generations of self-employed, business owning, entrepreneurs. The conversations I was exposed to while growing up often tended to theme around ideas of business, opportunity, and synergy. I heard my father speak countless times about identifying economic trends and market positioning.

About a year before deciding to get into the Laser Hair Removal business I attended a lecture presented by David Neeleman, founder of both JetBlue and Azul airways. In his remarks, Mr. Neeleman emphasized the necessity of having a passion for whatever industry you venture into. He noted that whenever he has ventured into things that don't somehow connect to airplanes, he has wasted his time and lost money.  The candor he used in admitting his failings and the success he has created in following his passion made a remarkable impression on me as I moved forward in my search for a niche where I could invest my time and pursue my living.

Unwanted hair has always been a struggle for me. Not only was I the "hairiest arm person" (male or female!) in my entire elementary school, I was also that girl with the super hairy legs, and sideburns on my face. As I settled into adulthood I developed polycystic ovarian syndrome which was partly identified by the abundance of male-pattern facial hair (whiskers!!) that were manifesting daily in spite of my many hours spent hiding in the bathroom with tweezers and an illuminated magnifying mirror.

I knew that Laser Hair Removal would be in my future and I would someday live a life free from the inconvenience of unwanted hair. As my passion for this new procedure grew, I made the choice to become as informed as possible on the subject. The more I learned, the more excited I became. Once the rise in popularity of Laser Hair Removal caught my attention I assumed that being a business owner in the industry would be too good to be true. To my surprise, through an extensive and thorough due diligence process it became evident that this was in fact an industry that was the right fit for me. It was also an industry where I could finally take a stab at pursuing my small business ownership dreams.

Stay tuned to my next blog entry to find out how I actually launched the business!

Cheers!
Annette
